"This grass fed beef could have benefits. The limited research completed to date suggests that steak and hamburger from grass-fed cattle may contain less total fat per serving, according to a review by the nonprofit Union of Concerned Scientists. Grass-fed steak can also have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which may help reduce heart-disease risk. Grass-fed ground beef usually has more conjugated linoleic acid, which might improve the immune system and help fight cancer, atherosclerosis, and type 2 diabetes, lab and animal studies show. And raising cattle on well-managed pastures can lessen erosion and boost soil fertility, the scientists' group found."

Wow. Another post on Grass Fed Beef!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me proud to say that I recently launched Beef Sup'Herb, where customers can beef up their diet and stay healthy too! Interested in that healthy beef? Check out our blog and see what Beef Sup'Herb is all about.
We hope to have many interested in our product as we start selling grass fed beef served with certified organic vegetables. We plan to sell these meals at our restaurant but also in our online store by the end of august.
Grass Fed Beef is Healthy and Tastes Great!
I remember my first time of grass fed beef. Rich in flavor. The beef came from my wifes family.
Being a beef lover but poor student, I had been fortunate to have a whole freezer full with grass fed beef to cook and experiment with from our family. I have cooked out of cookbooks since I was seven years old. In all these years I never had meat that was that nice.
I recently watched the documentary "Food, Inc." and wow! a huge eye opener as to why we should all be eating beef from animals who are only fed grass. The corn they feed does not get rid of the e-coli in the systems of the cows so then they use chemcials to "clean" beef, ammonia hydroxide I believe. This movie is very difficult to watch but very necessary!
